BURN THE FRN

WHAT??!?

BURN THE FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE!

I'm going to take a moment to objectively discuss this movement and dissect it for what it is.

First of all, for those who missed it, on November 22, people gathered in all the 38 cities that have Federal Reserve Banks and they protested to END THE FED!

Ron Paul was in Houston... but if you already understand the FED's connection to our economic turmoil, then you can skip over this video.

Now, passionate END THE FED protesters are inciting people to BURN THE FRN. YES, they are burning Federal Reserve Notes!

BEWARE: Hooligans from this point forward!

Why? Because a Federal Reserve Note is neither federal nor are there any reserves to back it up! Inflated dollar bills are pretty much worthless in this day and age.

Ya know, the only items that haven't gotten more expensive are computer systems and pot. Weed growers and tech manufacturers are spitting out their products just as fast as the FED is spitting out money, but items like grain and oil are extremely limited, especially with drought and tons of government oversight, and so to compensate, farmers and big oil tycoons must increase the price. Inflationary money doesn't "trickle" down to the people... it is SIPHONED through acceptance.

Well, friends, I'm not asking you to burn your money. Besides barter, it's still our only means of trade for valuable resources. Keep using your cash to buy food, clothes, and pay rent.

BUT, don't save it.
Don't horde your money.
Having money and not knowing what to do with it is worse than being broke. FRN's are NOT precious and only become less valuable over time.

Rather, use that money to invest in something valuable... like a garden or a plot of land. Donate to a charity who WILL put that money to good use. Further your education. Further the education of others. Replace your water heater with a geothermal pump.

So, don't burn a FRN, but burn the IDEA that the FED has authority. WE THE PEOPLE know what our hard work is worth and we don't need the FED to keep printing all this fake money... fake money that mostly goes overseas to pay for weapons, war, and damaging our environment.

You are pretty damn lucky to have fit into a cozy little lifestyle that suits your taste, but as long as WE THE PEOPLE keep giving the FED authority to print money, we are allowing the corruption of democracy.

So, just keep the idea alive that the FED is the cause of our monetary problems, and keep spreading the idea to others.

Because someday, when legislation is introduced to take action against the FED, your support will make all the difference.

Could Obama have been elected if we hadn't fought racism for so many decades?

Ideas are extremely powerful, and don't you forget it. Never stop talking about what matters.

It means a world of difference for our children.

Love Lost

At work today, a bright-eyed young man entered the shop as happy as a clam. He was carrying a baby carseat.

"Oh! A new addition?!?" I asked.

The man brought the basket right up to the counter and proudly showed us his new daughter as if she were a golden egg resting softly on feathers.

"Wow! What a beautiful new model it is too!" I said in awe.

Her tiny slit eyes were closed and she twitched her nose in her sleep. Her light brown skin looked so soft and thin, and her light brown hair lay in wisps on her crown.

The mother and a little duckling of a boy soon followed in. The father placed the baby basket in the corner.

"Is that your new sister?" I asked the little boy who couldn't stop moving. He was so excited and playful. Mother looked worn out but endearing and content. Her belly was still round. We congratulated them.

Was it fate that a beautiful, loving family came in to eat some of the best sandwiches in all of Austin? I decided I couldn't let them get away without them knowing how I felt.

So just before they left I said, "Congratulations once again. Do you have any idea how rare it is to see a happy, beautiful family? It's very rare."

Mother blushed. Little duckling was hopping around looking for something or someone to play with. Father picked up the basket and he says, "Well, like I said before, there are good days and there are bad days, but you get through them together. It all works out in the end."

Texas State Cemetery

I spent most of yesterday doing practice problems for my classes, so I was itching to get out by the end of the night.

Luckily a friend called and we arranged to meet at Rio Rita's. It was actually our first time to meet in person, but I had it all planned out to greet him casually and warmly as if we knew each other from ages ago.

I tried one of the famous Bloody Mary's with the oh-so-many hidden vegetable delights. For the 40 minutes we were allowed inside, we sat comfortably and discussed this and that about this and that.

I felt so pleasantly served and compelled to return the token. I pulled a pocket Constitution out of my purse and placed it on the end table in the SE corner of the room, adjacent to the glow of the Jesus candle.

Perfect.

However, outside in the dark night, I was eager to walk around. Luckily I had a pair of boots in the trunk of the car and I took off my heels.

My new comrade was getting a laugh out of all of this.

We scuttled up the hill toward the State Cemetery. Now, I wanted to walk to the Oakwood, but I forgot it was so many blocks away. I rather wanted to hurry to the nearest cemetery. I walked right up to the little fence and thought for a split-second of jumping inside. And so I let the flute take over.

I played a sweet tune for the graves.

"Would you like to walk over to the big Texas flag?" my friend asked.

"Yes," I said as I hopped a few feet back to the curb of the street.

The Texas State Flag was standing alone high above us thumping in the chilly wind and taking a real beating. It could be heard for many blocks away, and bright search lights from below illuminate every jostling thread.

Somewhere hidden in the trees, the moon gently sat on the clouds in the shape of a collecting bowl (or an offering bowl, I can't decide).

The closer we got, the more I couldn't take my eyes off the red, white, and blue. I can only assume my comrade was there behind me as I walked in a trance.

When we got close enough under it, we just stood there watching the enormous flag wave this way and that.

"What do you see when you look at that flag?" my friend asked.

"I see the air hitting the blue star at the head of the flag, and I see the wind split over each face of the flag and dance with the cloth from either side as the particles attempt to find equilibrium. I see a material floating in the dense air of the atmosphere. I see the waves and ripples in the sheet between the spaces.

...

Some would say it's proof of God's design and master plan.

Others might say it's Universal Law.

...

And yet others wouldn't attempt to label it at all."

We stood in silence.

Until the little wooden flute decided to play once more.

Dear END THE FED Community

Dear END THE FED Community,

It is my obligation to unfortunately inform you that I will not be making it to your rally this November 22, 2008.

I have heard in the past week that the name, theme, and chant have been changed to help outsiders realize that this is a peaceful rally and not a riot.

But to those in EL PASO, DALLAS, SAN ANTONIO, and HOUSTON,

I want to hear all about it!

I want you all to get ROWDY!

Celebrate your freedoms!

Celebrate rational thought!

We came here to tell it like it is!

Speak your heart for all the world to hear!

Let free minds decide for themselves!

I'll see you down the road to liberty.

Blessings to you,

Reefer Madness: Even More Popular Than Obama

Voters turned out in record numbers for a certain plant
BY JORDAN SMITH

The election of Barack Obama as president means the end is near for John Walters, the head of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy who was appointed the nation's drug czar by President George W. Bush in 2002. And, really, it couldn't come a moment too soon for Walters, whose war on pot has been vigorous but unsuccessful. Indeed, despite his office's attempts to demonize the evil weed, voters continue to back pot-law reform measures in record numbers.

In Massachusetts, voters on Nov. 4 approved a statewide measure eliminating criminal penalties for adult possession of up to an ounce of marijuana and creating, at most, a $100 fine. Meanwhile, Michigan became the 13th state to approve medical marijuana use by seriously ill patients and the first Midwestern state to approve medi-mari legislation. Indeed, in those two blue states, the pot-law reform measures gathered more votes than Obama. Voters in Massachusetts approved the decrim measure with 65% of the vote, while Obama snagged 62%; in Michigan, 63% of voters cast their ballots for the medi-mari law, compared to 57% for Obama.

These victories send the message that pot-law reform is not a fringe issue – and doesn't have to be a dicey one for politicians, who chronically cringe at the possibility of being branded as soft on drugs, says Bruce Mirken, communications director for the Marijuana Policy Project, which backed the winning initiatives. "The bigger message is ... that by and large the voters get it," he said. Walters has waged the "most intense anti-marijuana campaign since Reefer Madness," he continued, "and voters in both Massachusetts and Michigan rejected that garbage out of hand." (Walters tried to convince voters otherwise, stumping against the Michigan ballot measure with taxpayer dimes.) Indeed, with the win in Michigan, 25% of Americans now live in states with medi-pot laws on the books. With an Obama administration incoming, "There's a moment of opportunity here," Mirken says, to reclaim a rational approach to drug policy. "I don't think Obama will stick his neck out politically on this, but it is evident [from the victories in Michigan and Massachusetts] that sane reforms don't require that you stick your neck out very far."

While pot-law reform measures showed well on Election Day (in addition to the statewide wins, several communities – including Fayetteville, Ark., and Hawaii Co., Hawaii – approved measures directing police to consider enforcement of adult pot possession their lowest policing priority), more sweeping reforms didn't do as well. In California, voters rejected the so-called Nonviolent Offender Rehabilitation Act, which would have designated $460 million to expand drug treatment and prison diversion efforts. The measure was backed by medical and treatment professionals but was apparently outgunned by foes, including Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Dem Sen. Dianne Feinstein. "It's a threat to our neighborhoods," Schwarzenegger told reporters, adding that it was written by those (like the Children's Defense Fund and the California Federation of Teachers, apparently) "who care more about the rights of criminals." It was defeated with 61% of the vote.

"Today we saw special interests overpower the public interest," said Yes on 5 campaign spokeswoman Margaret Dooley-Sammuli. Still, it wasn't all despair in the Golden State. By the same margin, voters also rejected the Safe Neighborhoods Act, which would have directed more than $900 million each year to law enforcement, created new criminal statutes, provided for longer prison terms, and required the expulsion from public housing of anyone convicted of a drug offense – because, clearly, making it harder for people to find a place to live is a brilliant way to make neighborhoods safer and break the cycle of crime. Fortunately, California voters weren't buying it.

Gold Coins and the Galactic Underworld

In the past couple weeks, I've been noticing a lot of ads for the use of the new presidential $1 coins. I've seen signs on buses and at the Walgreen's counter. The ads on the radio sound like cheesy, gimmicky ads from the past, perpetuating the idea that the use of these coins is a joke! For whatever reason they want these coins circulated, they're doing it all wrong.

Supposedly coins last 16 times longer than bills, so it would save our government money. Oh, now it all makes cents! (Pun intended) Now more of my tax money can be squandered more efficiently elsewhere within the government!

Yesterday a customer paid for their sandwich with a Susan B Anthony dollar coin and a gold presidential coin. Now, already I have a hard time calling these coins "gold" when they are really only gold-colored. I like to think of myself as a coin collector, so I chose to take the Susan B Anthony dollar home to my ceramic "Texas" piggy bank. The only gold coins I collect are the Sacajaweas, the George Washingtons, and the Thomas Jeffersons.

So, after researching, I found out that the Mint is spending $12 million to promote these dollar coins in four major cities.

It is starting in four cities — Austin; Charlotte; Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Portland, Ore. — and may be expanded if successful. The Mint will be closely tracking bank orders for the coins in the four cities through November to gauge the program's success.

I think these dollar coins could really help the economy though. I mean, think about it. If you bought lunch with a $20 bill and got dollar coins in return, you couldn't put them in your bill fold, so they'd either go in your pocket, your coin purse, or right back to your server as a tip. You'd always be trying to get rid of those clunky coins! No one would want to hang onto them, and they would indeed stay in circulation for a long time.

Last year one of my friends proclaimed that he would always get rolls of dollar coins from the bank just so that he could piss off people when he paid back debts.

I'm sorry, but these coins are just a joke! They are hardly atheistically pleasing. And the ads promoting them as "Recyclable" and "more green than paper bills" are rubbing me all the wrong way. They are seriously reaching out to make this new form of inflation appealing and they are failing.

The other side of this post is about the Mayan calendar. Each unit of time (uinal, tun, katun, baktun) is divisible into 7 days and 6 nights, each ascending to the end of creation. On November 13, we finally passed out of the energy of Destruction and into the energy of Flowering. What this really means is anyone's best guess, but I like to look at things with a positive light. In order for us as humans to realize our true purpose and take action, we first must break down the old traditions and see the temple for what it really is--just stone and clay--stone and clay that we are capable of molding and remolding, over and over in the pursuit of perfection. How could sand become the form of a drinking glass unless it was first melted down?

So when looking at the ruling energies, you must think in a global perspective. Let's consider when Ron Paul's campaign was JUST starting off. It took place during Day 5 and the ruling energy of Budding. Ron Paul's principles and ideas were taking off at incredible speeds. Grassroots efforts brought his message all around the world and everyone was getting invigorated with the prospect of a movement to shift away from bi-partisan politics. A return to sound money. A conservative foreign policy. PEACE. Ron Paul's message was curing the apathy of millions! People had energy and hope for the first time. People BELIEVED that he could be president even though the mainstream media wouldn't side with him.

We can also say that meetup groups were budding all over the country to get behind the message of freedom. But Ron Paul warned us all about the economy, inflation, and possible depression. He warned us that the government would keep printing more and more money to "solve" the problem, when in fact it would only make the dollar less valuable. He warned us that it was the first stage of a collapse in the dollar and the rise of the Amero.

So since last November, we have seen the economy destroyed just as he warned. It could be said that it was the financial collapse that gave Obama the extra boost to get elected. Or perhaps he is the final essential element of destruction that is needed to lay waste to our country before the people begin to see where improvement and realignment are truly needed.

So in this age of flowering, maybe more people will wake up and smell the fascism?

Think of Days as eras when humanity and consciousness move forward, and think of Nights as eras when evolution rests in contemplation. Night are not necessarily dark and evil, just not progressive.

And when all the Underworlds fulfill the ruling energy of Fruition, the new wave of thinking that has been growing in the select few will then permeate into the masses. What was once taboo will soon be truth.

Adam Kokesh Trial

I almost forgot about DailyPaul.com...

Why do police officers waste their time badgering citizens? Are they fucking stupid? Do they have no morals? Are they just bored? Who's paying these airhead officers to prance around and start conflicts?!

Here in Austin, protest is common, and officers stand on the side with smiles. We value our amendment rights here in the heart of Texas.

But when does a protest become a riot? When does feisty shouting become threats? Must officers only react when a crime is committed, such as vandalism or assault? Or should they strike first to prevent chaos?

I truly believe officers only make things worse when they try to intervene protests. They should stay to the sides, ready to protect, and not to instigate. Now that's a position I can respect.

Seriously, officers, who's paying you?!?! WE THE PEOPLE! That's who! We are all interconnected. Let us run our mouths off! We're not hurting anybody!

I have never been able to trust Wikipedia

Wikipedia deletes Benjamin Emanuel entry
By QuiQui

Wikipedia has deleted Rahm Emanuel's father's page. Benjamin M. Emanuel's entry was recommended for deletion shortly after Obama named the younger Emanuel as his Chief of Staff, and it looks like it had already been deleted (or recommended for deletion) once before in January of 2007.

"Benjamin M. Emanuel" is no longer searchable in Wikipedia, but the former-page can be accessed through the original URL: http://en.wikipedia.or/wiki/Benjamin_M._Emanuel

The old entry is no longer even in Google cache. The Progressive Mind was forward-thinking enough to save the original entry, including the original links. Here's what is used say:

And here's a screenshot (from Blog-Reporter)

In an article from Feb 2008,
Wikipedia defies 180,000 demands to remove images of the Prophet

Wikipedia, the free online encyclopaedia, is refusing to remove medieval artistic depictions of the Prophet Muhammad, despite being flooded with complaints from Muslims demanding the images be deleted.

More than 180,000 worldwide have joined an online protest claiming the images, shown on European-language pages and taken from Persian and Ottoman miniatures dating from the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries, are offensive to Islam, which prohibits any representation of Muhammad. But the defiant editors of the encyclopaedia insist they will not bow to pressure and say anyone objecting to the controversial images can simply adjust their computers so they do not have to look at them.

In a robust statement on the site, its editors state: 'Wikipedia recognises that there are cultural traditions among some Muslim groups that prohibit depictions of Muhammad and other prophets and that some Muslims are offended when those traditions are violated. However, the prohibitions are not universal among Muslim communities, particularly with the Shia who, while prohibiting the images, are less strict about it.

'Since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia with the goal of representing all topics from a neutral point of view, Wikipedia is not censored for the benefit of any particular group.

'So long as they are relevant to the article and do not violate any of Wikipedia's existing policies, nor the law of the US state of Florida where Wikipedia's servers are hosted, no content or images will be removed because people find them objectionable or offensive.'

Freedoms Under Threat

Rising sea water and hurricanes aren't the only concern for sea-side residents.

Beware! If you live within 100 miles from the United States border, the real danger is martial law.

I also found out today that Obama has a government website and he's taking suggestions.

Has anyone read this? I've always wanted to; perhaps now is the time as we move into a transfer of power from corrupt big government Republicans to (corrupt big government?) Democrats in both Congress and White House. Comments?

News from the front of LIBERTY

Dr. Paul says it eloquently...

Sunday, November 2, 2008

The Republican party needs a renaissance of high magnitude if it will ever rise again. The past eight years have left a putrid taste in the mouths of traditional conservatives who have watched significant party members self-destruct. The lines between Democrat and Republican are hopelessly blurred and the struggling middle class continues to suffer the punishment in the form of tax cuts to the rich while the working class pays for government excess. We need less government, not more government . We need to trim the fat, we need to care and work in grassroots capacities for ourselves and our progeny. We must unite to find and nurture politicians who defend our Constitution. God help us all.
